Pick a pumpkin to carve.

Pumpkin

Draw a ring all the way round the stem with the saw. The cut runs in toward the middle, so the lid sits on its rim instead of dropping inside.

Prick one onto the side facing you, then carve along the holes.

Drag to turn it round. Light gets out wherever the wall is thin.

Cut through
The flame shows, and its light reaches the table.
Thinned
The flesh glows yellow; thinner is brighter.
Skin off
A low orange glow through the full wall.
